Boys' basketball: Tigers to compete at G-SL Invitational

Four area boys' basketball teams will compete in the Glencoe-Silver Lake boys' basketball tournament, which begins Saturday at the high school gymnasium.

The schedule for Saturday:
McLeod West vs Mayer Lutheran, 3 p.m.
Hutchinson vs Buffalo Lake-Hector, 4:30 p.m.
New Prague vs Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, 6 p.m.
Glencoe-Silver Lake vs Trinity of River Ridge, 7:30 p.m.

The tournament resumes Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 29-30. Consolation rounds will be at 3 and 4:30 p.m, with championship rounds at 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Hutchinson was runner-up at the tournament with conference opponent New Prague taking home the title.
