sci-fiWhoo-hoo! 'Robocop' remake might not stinkJuly 25, 2008 - 11:16am — Jorge Sosa
The 1987 original was a hands-down, all-time classic. It's been one of my favorite movies for *does the math* two-thirds of my life, and I think it's as fun to watch today is it was when I was a kid. But, the brilliance of the original has been steadily ground into mush by a series of lame sequels, TV adaptations and other silliness. I just figured the remake would be more of the same irrelevant garbage. But ... ComingSoon.Net now reports the director Daron Aronofsky and writer David Self have signed on for the remake. Build your own Death RacerJune 12, 2008 - 10:34am — Jorge Sosa
It stars Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane and Joan Allen and it's due in theaters Aug. 22. If you can't wait that long for your dose of heavy metal mayhem, the kind folks at Jalopnik have all the information you need to stage your own Death Race. The Transformers vs. Robot SatanJune 9, 2008 - 1:14pm — Jorge Sosa

Reuters reports Roth is almost finished with a script inspired by the success of recent smashes such as “Transformers” and “Cloverfield.” More details on Roth's PG-13 epic will reportedly emerge in what Roth called a “big announcement” next month. Earth Vs. Moon: Can't we all just get along?April 9, 2008 - 4:14pm — Jorge Sosa
Not much else has been made public about the film, written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, except the story sold for “the mid- to high-six figures.” How much you wanna bet that it's the long-awaited sequel to Georges Méliès 1902 silent film, “A Trip to the Moon?” That's the one where a crew of astronomers put the Man in the Moon's eye out with their rocket. Ever since then, the Big Green Cheesehead has had it in for us. CLASSIC MOVIE CORNER: 'Aliens' (1986)December 27, 2007 - 10:47am — Jorge Sosa
MPAA Rating: R Warner Bros. aiming for live-action version of 'Akira'October 29, 2007 - 3:42pm — Jorge Sosa“Akira” is probably the most famous anime feature film of all time. |
