THR notes this may be the first time a film and its sequel have been issued on video at the same time. "Kung Fu Panda" grossed $213.8 million this summer in North America, but "Secrets of the Furious Five" has never graced the silver screen.

“Kung Fu Panda” is due in theaters this Friday. The film is rated PG for “for sequences of martial arts action” according to the Motion Picture Association of America.

Early reviews indicate the fight scenes are extensive, elaborate and should even impress fans of live-action kung fu flicks like “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.”
