The Minnesota Street Rod...
Back to page topThe Minnesota Street Rod Association has its Back to the '50s weekend from June 22 to June 24. It's at the State Fairgrounds in St. Paul.
I used to live just a few blocks away from the Porky's, the old-fashioned drive-in restaurant on University Avenue.
On an ordinary Friday or Saturday night, that place was busy. On MSRA weekend, fugheddaboutit.
It's a great place to see rare cars. MSRA weekend was the only time I've ever seen a '70 Dodge Super Bee, one of the coolest looking muscle cars ever.
Check out this picture. It looks like it's ready to chew you up and spit you out. Maybe I'm crazy but I spot a distant resemblance to the headlight treatment on the new Dodge Charger sedans.

I did miss one event I was planning to go too. It was called Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup. It's located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I'll post their website also. Even though it's already done with. Maybe next year I'll make it. http://www.rmmr.org
