Some of you may remember the chevy corvair with the engine in the rear of the car. And some corvairs you'll see the owner upgrade his car to a mid-engine v8 which sits in the place of the rear seat. But here is two corvairs that someone spent alot of time putting the engines up front.
This first corvair I believe the guy told me it was a cadillac 500 engine. Very interesting setup. He must of spent a longtime on this car. From the way it looks he may also do some weekend drag races with it.

This next corvair is nice. Another car someone spent alot of hours on. This maybe a chevy 350. So some of you guys correct me if I'm wrong. But I was impressed by the nice clean look under the hood. Also look at his trailer.

Back to page topMaybe I'm a purist, but...Corvair engines need to be in the rear or mid-engine. They look nice and all, but Corvair's are meant to have the power in the back. The vans are called Greenbreiers. I love Corvairs though...Nice pics.

Back to page topThere was alot of rear engine corvairs. There was so many I really didn't take alot of pictures. But the one's that were modified like the front engine setup. I had to take a picture of that. That was the first time I've seen someone do that. Those old vans, A few years back I was going to try and get a van. But the ones I did look at were in so rough of shape it wasn't worth fixing up. Otherwise I would of had fun restoring one. Long as I can find parts for it. I probably would have used it for camping.
