Hard to believe, I went to walmart, shopko, target. And all the tv's are widescreen. They sure want us to buy them. From what I've read, LCD is the way to go. Plasma tv's are falling behind in resolution. But I couldn't believe it. I went to each store figuring they might have a 27"-32" plain old tv but nope. It's to bad the prices are outrageous. Otherwise I'd probably buy a widescreen. Knowing my luck I would buy one get it home and it's too small to see across the room lol.
I wanted to find out the life expectancy of a widescreen LCD has and was surprised. It's twice the length of a traditional CRT tv. You can find it here. http://www.eurokiosks.org/eloppt/tsld020.htm

You might widen your search beyond the big box retailers and check with locally owned Hutchinson retailers, such as Brett Rasmussen's Sears store on Century Avenue, Larry Dostal's Dostal Electronics downtown on Main Street or Ross Peterson's Homesource store on State Highway 7 West, next to the Cenex gas station. If they don't have the regular TV you are searching for, they might be able to order one. They may also deliver and help set it up.

Back to page topI'll have to look there and see, I used to like going to wally pickles for tv's. At one time he had the good, good tv's with all the bells and whistles. I plan on going to homesource and see what they have, I might get some other stuff also.
