What an exciting game Litchfield and Glencoe-Silver Lake was Thursday at the Dome. The Panthers came out on top again, winning, 27-20.
Litch led 12-0 after the first quarter on two touchdowns by David Melepsy, but the Panthers fought back, taking the lead on touchdowns by Jon Hoese in the second and third quarter.
Bud Sanken hailed in a touchdown pass to extend the lead to 21-12, but Kent Johnson found Jordan Lecher for a 7-yard score to pull the Dragons within a point.
G-SL's Dusty Jurek finished off the scoring six plays later, scoring from 10 yards out.
G-SL linebacker Chip Maresh intercepted a Johnson pass to finish off the Dragons. The Panthers will play either Becker or Rochester Lourdes next Friday.
Anybody at the Dome today? Anybody going next Friday?

I'm sure it was a great game at the dome yesterday, it was fun to listen to it on the radio. Great job Dragons on your season good luck to Glencoe-Silver Lake next week.

I'll say Stephen-Argyle Central beats Wheaton for its third straight title. Rushford-Peterson beat Wabasso and Springfield, who both beat New Ulm Cathedral, so I say R-P. Triton's offense is too much for Luverne.
In 4A, I think Totino-Grace has shown they are succeptable to a loss with close wins over New Prague and Mankato West, so I say the passing attack of Tim McManus and the Cadets. In the 5A game, I'll take EP for yet another state title.
Ok, I know I should go with the region team (and I hope they win), but I think Becker is the complete team. G-SL can run effective, but when Muenchow has to pass, I think they are in trouble. I'll go with Becker, but definitely pulling for the Panthers.
