The graceful columns and single story design of this lodge are typical of the temples of the period. It also has Italianate features. Its architect was Lang, Raugland and Lewis of Minneapolis. The firm designed and built Hutchinson’s Congregational Church at the same time.
Constructed: Aug. 11, 1923 to Dec. 18, 1923
Architecture: Temple style with Italianate features
Torn down: Oct. 17, 1983

Back to page topThanks to Datlaf Weseloh of Hutchinson for his help assembling the history of the Temple. Since much of the contents of the lodge were auctioned just prior to its demolition in 1983, the Leader is interested to learn if any of its furniture, memorabilia or artifacts survive today. The Leader is also interested in interior photos that may be in personal photo albums.
Readers can post photos or memories here, or drop them off at the address above.
