The 2008 Hutchinson area Home, Landscape and Garden Show will take place Feb. 22 – 24 at McLeod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. Show hours are from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The McLeod County Master Gardeners will again have a booth available to help with gardening questions and to talk about the Master Gardener program. This year the McLeod County Master Gardeners are proud to sponsor a free horticulture seminar featuring Mark Schnobrich, Hutchinson City Forester. Mark will present “Trees — How to Plant Properly, and Woody Agriculture in 2008 and Beyond” at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at 11:00 a.m. Mark will explain how to plant trees to ensure their optimum health, prevent root girdling, new ventures in woody agriculture and green roofs.
