Robert De Niro and Al Pacino will star with hip-hop artist 50 Cent in their upcoming crime thriller, "Righteous Kill."
DeNiro and Pacino play detectives on the trail of a serial killer. 50 Cent will play a drug dealer who helps them out, according to moviehole.net.
Feeling that deja vu? It's probably because the last time DeNiro and Pacino co-starred in a film was 1995's "Heat." That movie also featured a hip-hop artist as an informant, Tone Loc in the role of Richard Torena.
In case you're wondering, "Heat" co-star Tom Sizemore probably won't turn up in "Righteous Kill." The World Entertainment News Network reports Sizemore was sentenced June 25 to 16 months in prison for violating his parole following a 2004 meth convection.
Sizemore is a sad case. He's such a talented actor, but his chemical addiction is destroying his life and career. What a waste. Let's hope he can pull a Robert Downey Jr. and haul himself out of the abyss.
"Righteous Kill" will be shot in late 2007 with a 2008 release date.
