Two of Hollywood’s living legends will team up for the first time in more than a decade.
Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are slated to appear in “Righteous Kill,” a serial killer thriller due to start shooting this August, according to darkhorizons.com.
The last time De Niro and Pacino shared the screen, they made history. 1995’s “Heat” was the first time the two great actors appeared in the same scene. Michael Mann’s crime epic pitted the two against each other, with De Niro as a high-stakes bank robber and Pacino as the cop on his trail.
In “Righteous Kill,” they’ll both play detectives hunting down a killer.
The two might also lend their talents to a “Heat” videogame being developed by Gearbox Software. The Internet Movie Database reports De Niro, Pacino and Val Kilmer are all in negotiations to reprise their original roles for the videogame.
