In case you haven't seen it, here's the official teaser trailer for next spring's remake of "A Nightmare on Elm Street."
I don't expect any surprises. It looks like many scenes are lifted from Wes Craven's original masterpiece. Director Samuel Bayer mainly has experience doing music videos and commercials, so this will be one of his first feature films.
Co-writer Eric Heisserer doesn't have a real deep resume, according to the Internet Movie Database. His co-writer, Wesley Strick has more experience. Sadly, it's the wrong kind. He had a hand in the weak 1991 "Cape Fear" remake and ... uh ... 2005's "Doom."
I'd bet good money this franchise will rebooted again in five years.
