The Transformers vs. Robot Satan

The Fallen (which sounds cooler
than Robot Satan)CHUD.com reports the plot of the next “Transformers” movie will likely see the Autobots battle a villain who's the robot equivalent of Satan.

The sequel to last summer's sci-fi blockbuster is called “Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen.”

CHUD notes “The Fallen” is the name given to a Lucifer-type figure from the “Transformers” comic books.

According to the comic book backstory, Primus (the giant robot, not the band) created the Transformers' race. There were originally 13 good Transformers and one of them became evil, turning against his creator and his brethren. He was banished to limbo millions of years ago. Presumably, he's still pretty peeved about that. Diabolical droids are not known for their forgiving nature.

According to Devin Faraci of CHUD, “a trustworthy source with access to the production” told him “the Fallen of the title ... is in fact the Fallen of the comics.”

“Transfomers II” is due in theaters on June 26, 2009.
