Well I have a spook in the house. Where he came from I do not know. He may have followed me home from some of the many locations that I have been to. Probably from the Landmark, I have been taking a number of my classes there.
It’s not a major haunting, just enough to let me know he’s there.
I came home from grocery shopping one day and as I entered the house, I heard a man saying “She’s home” I thought it was Joe so when I put the bags on the counter and started off to gather more I looked in the front bedroom to see if Joe was there and I noticed no one was home, not even Dunkin, who would have greeted me with the enthusiasm of any child expecting a surprise for him in one of the bundles.
When Joe came home I told him what I heard and always counting on the logic, figured it was his computer. It talks and I may have misunderstood what I heard. It could have announced that the updates have been done. So I shrugged it off. As the weeks few by every so often Dunkin would act funny. His hair would stand on end and he would growl and run under my chair growling at what would seem to be nothing. Most of the time I shrugged it off because the dog is weird any way and I do think he needs glasses because at times he will do that once in a while when he sees “daddy” (or so I thought)
I would see shadows or lights moving out of the corner of my eye, but I figured that it was something passing by the window.
Now mind you, none of these things happen on a regular basis’s. It’s only once in a while and you will always think of the logical explanation before you think of the paranormal. So what had happened to make me know that there is a spook in the house?????
Well let me tell you!!!!
First let me explain how my home is laid out. I live in a mobile home. When you enter into the first side door, you enter into a hallway. This long hallway connects the front bedroom, bathroom, the blue bedroom and the large kitchen. When you are by the refrigerator, you can look down the hallway strait into the front bedroom. Now that you have that in mind let me tell you what happened.
It was in the evening, about 10pm or so, I was watching tv in the living room. I heard Joe leave to go to the store, he was in the front bedroom on the computer and he had left the lights on in that room. The hallway was dark and no lights were on in the bathroom or the blue bedroom. I went into the kitchen to fix myself a cup of coffee, and I went to the fridge to get some milk for the coffee. As I walked to the fridge, I glanced down the hallway and I saw a solid shadow of a man standing in the hallway. I could see the lights behind him from the front bedroom. I looked at him then I opened the fridge and reached for the milk, I quickly looked back because I realized that Joe had left the house and no one was there. This saw a matter of seconds and if it was an intruder, I would have seen him scurrying out the door. Joe came back and I told him what I saw. I had him stand in the hallway so I could compare him with what I saw. And sure enough the shadow was about the same built as Joe.
Now things started to make some sense. Seeing the shadows, Dunkin’s reactions to nothing there or even to Joe when he sees him in the distance all started to make sense.
So now the question is what am I going to do about it. Well it’s one thing to go to people’s homes and businesses that are haunted, it’s quite another when it’s your home. I don’t know if the spook is there all the time or just visiting from time to time. If he is a shadowman, and wanted to get a reaction out of me to feed off my energy, well he will have to try a heck of a lot harder then standing in the hallway. He had picked the wrong house to haunt. I had a lot scarier things happen to me in locations that that and I have not been spooked.
Since I have seen him nothing strange has happened, so before I crack out my equipment, I will wait to see what happens.

Kathy; I find this very...
Back to page topKathy;
I find this very interesting. I'm glad that I'm not the only one around here with experiences. Some of my friends think I'm weird because I'am sensitive to those things.
My husband and I both have had experiences in our home, they are nothing bad. They are just letting us know they are here.
You really shouldn’t feel...
Back to page topYou really shouldn’t feel alone. People would be surprised on how many homes have spirits in them.
I have been to one location in Minneapolis that had a whole family of spirits living along side of the present owners. You can hear on the tape a child calling for their mom, then mom telling the child to “be quite, maybe they will go”, not to mention the man upstairs who asked us to leave the camera, I guess he wanted to check out the equipment we had.
There are Walking spirits, these spirits are lost and don’t have a place to call home and will from time to time move in for a while and coexist with the living. Most of the time we are not aware of them. From time to time, they want to make themselves known for some reason, or the person they move in with is more sensitive and can feel their presence.
Be assured, you are far from being alone with this.
