This must prove one of 2 scenarios. Either the Vikes are seriously interested in Favre and will do whatever they can to try get him -OR- the Pack is doing whatever they can to make it so the Vikes cannot get Favre.
When this all began, I was like hey this may be cool..let's get BF for a year or two and then one of our young QB/QB's should be ready when BF is done.
I truly do not think T-Jack is our future. He may get us by but we need more than that! Just listen to all the media...the Vikes are in this years Super Bowl before the season even starts.
At this point in this BF media circus, I am starting to vere away from the idea that the purple attempts to get BF. I would still go along with whatever they do end up doing. We have always dealt with the chocies of the management in the past.
We learned to like and for the most part enjoy QB's like Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, Brad Johnson and even Jim McMahon. I think we can get used to Favre too!
There's no way the Vikes are...
Back to page topThere's no way the Vikes are going to get Favre. I wouldn't want him anyways. Tjack stinks and I'm not buying this garbage Childress says about Tjack being our future. I'm not sure if Booty is the answer but he has a funny last name and will provide lots of puns. I'm tired of hearing favre blah blah superbowl mvp blah blah records blah blah.......he is currently not a great qb. at this moment in time he's not going to get us to a superbowl. He brain tells him that he can make throws that his arm just can't make anymore. He's got Dan Marino syndrome (I'm a huge Marino fan), Marino would try to make throws that he just couldn't make and would get picked off a lot. The Vikes did make a play for Marino but he decided to stay retired.
I stand firm that I would...
Back to page topI stand firm that I would love to have Brett Favre on the Purple, so he could beat the Pack twice a year. Do I think he will be with us? No way. I still think he starts Week 1 for the Pack despite his interview on Fox News.
Some in MN are Brett Favre haters - me, I'm a Packer hater. I totally respect what Brett has done in this league, and honestly, I think Brett knows that MN respects him. That may be a reason he likes the idea of playing w/ Purple.
I've said it before, he loves the attention. This will last a few more weeks and then he will sign with Green Bay. I've said it since Day One when he retired - he will be in green and gold this year.
