We have been there several times and found it a very good restaraunt. Different menu than every other restaraunt and fresh made food, what is wrong with that? I heard the only reason the menu changed was because the people of Hutch wanted different items. I quess it doesn't pay to try and please people that are hard to please. This restaraunt did not have a connection to the one in Raymond. I heard this from a very good source, it isn't even the same owners. The food and service were both very resonable and satisfying. Why would you want to go to a restaraunt and wait an hour just to sit down and then pay and arm and a leg for the same type of food. We were ther for valentines and the owner did a very good setup for a quite romantic nite out. Too bad you people didn't give them a shot. If you never tried it you should not past judgement. I talked to somebody that tried to send in a good blog about the restaraunt and it would not be put on. Just a comment on the American Pastime BBQ. Sad to see it change to something else, I guess people in Hutchinson don't know good food when and if they have been there. Hopefully the people of Hutchinson will give the new place coming in a shot before they judge it from heresay. It sounds like it is going to be a very interesting menu. Try before you judge.

At least 1 person in...
Back to page topAt least 1 person in Hutchinson liked this place. To set the record straight, yes this was connected to the American Pastime in Raymound. The chef who opened that one, was the chef who created this one in Hutchinson, he was bought out by the other investors, who helped make this place happen, then the chef (Dave)was let go. The original opening managers had experience in the restaurant business, but were all let go to cut overhead. The current owners do not have anything to do with the one in Raymond, but this one was created by the guy who opened the one in Raymond, which was almost all catering. The current owners don't even have restaraunt experience, one owns the building, one is a plumber. Either way, the poor service and unconsistent quality in food is what killed this business, not the economy.
Move, You are correct in...
Back to page topMove,
You are correct in saying that when the managers were let go the place fell apart. The service was poor too, the other night a guy who was the bartender was stuck waiting on tables...of course he knew nothing about the menu and what came with what? Was it his fault.... probably not, but just another example of the questionable service. I still believe that the atmosphere had a lot to do with the poor attendance. Way too loud and way to warehouse-like.
