I disagree. I am one that would like to see if get paved.
I have seen many bikers and walkers on that trail all ready this summer, especially going west from town. I personally use it every day during the week and yes it works but to ride a bike on tar would be much much better.

I applaud that Rep. Shimanski has NOT given into stupidity.

The trail does NOT need to be upgraded to a tar system. Lets put tar where it belongs (on the highways) and keep the trails natural where more users have an oppotunity to use them.

If other areas of the state do NOT want to act in a fiscally responsible manner that is their issue.

THE TRAIL DOES NOT NEED TO BE TARRED!!!!!!!!!!

The 2008 bonding bill approved by the Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Tim Pawlenty on April 7 provided a record level of funding for Minnesota state parks and trails. Maintaining and enhancing our state resources is a wise decision.
