Palin is cute... but what makes her even more interesting is the fact that she too is an clueless! Could be Bush's daughter, perhaps from a second marriage.

Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies) is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990 which has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazi or Hitler approaches 1."

Democracy Test Unveiled.

Democracy Test Unveiled. Government control is scary and if you believe that a Democratic Party Control is best for our nation, then here is a test that you can take to see if you like Govt Control.

Guess Who I Am...

I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women. I became bery close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.

Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy an no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate. I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs and didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was tome to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child. I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40's... They said I had a golden tounge and could talk anyone into anything... That reinforced my coceit.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy. I was very critical of my country in the last was and seized every opportunity to bash my country. But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed and housed for free.

I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the Free Market, Banks and Corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if there were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight. I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all people. I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support.

I knew that, if I merely offered the people "Hope", that together we could change our country and the world. So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor and ignorant. My true views were not widely known and I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nations leader.

I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most powerful man in the World. Then the World learned the truth.

Who am I ???

I am Adolf Hitler

Who were you thinking of ??? (Scary isn't it)

Bond Money is Bond Money,

Bond Money is Bond Money, not Tax Dollars. I see many complaints about the "Loose Line Project" but do not understand why so many people are upset about it's nature. Whether a Bond is Corporate, Municipal, or some type of Govt Treasury, the only people involved are the Bond Issuers and the Bond Holders (purchasers). As long as the Investor receives their initial coupon rate promise, who cares about how it (the Bond Money) is spent?

As for Government Control or takeover of an industry is concerned, well take a good look at what happened to the infamous Mustang Ranch in Nevada. The business was seized by the Federal Government and then declared bankruptcy. If the Government can't even run a house of ill repute, how in the world can we rely on them to run our Health Care System. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are known to be largest Ponzi Scheme ever. Our politicians just won't admit to it's demise. Buy Gold, Oil, Platinum, Grain and any other commodity that you can and hold on to it for dear life as the Dollar Index keeps sinking faster than a Rock.

Terry I agree that Social Security was not to be an end all for retirement.

I think it is tough for people to talk about because there is a lot of fear involved with this subject. Even though most of us believe the current system cannot last, the thought of being 70 and broke is not something most would look forward to.

Maybe if they scaled it back to be a safety net, then if you could prove that you had been actively saving throughout your life but some hardship came along and wiped it all out, you would still be covered it may ease the change.

Well I guess it is not as clear as you think.

I don’t believe the money is going to Sarah Palin, I believe it will go into the Campaign of Michelle Bachman.

If you look at the following link President Obama charges $15,000 for a picture.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/18/obama-kicks-off-two-fundr_n_467...

All I am saying is if you look at it objectively this is typical of all big time campaigns today. Maybe it should change but to get upset over a cute governor seems kind of petty.

Actually Al Franken had a $2,200/plate dinner for his election 2 years ago. They all do it. I agree with watson that it is a better way than having all of the people with millions of dollars just give. I attended a $700/plate dinner for George Bush in 1999. Was actually alot of fun. Now I have to admit I did not pay for the tickets they were given to us.

Watson,
My point is rather clear...

Lets see if Obama charges a $1,000 bucks for a picture. At least Obama is the President of the strongest free country on the planet, whereas Palin is simply a cute governor who quit.

Do you think she will scribble "cheese", means smile for the camera" on her hand so she doesn't get confused?

So what is your point?

Campaigns must be financed somehow and this is one of the ways they do it. Candidates would not get very far if they only relied on small donors to fund there campaigns. The picture is just a gimmick to get some people dig a little deeper into there pocket than they would have. Is there a better way to finance a campaign? Is it better to just have Millionaires run so they can fund their own campaigns?

I look forward to your posts when President Obama comes to town to campaign for Mrs. Klobuchar and Mr. Franken. I am sure you will use the same colorful terms to belittle them and their donors.

Speaking of Pork.......
Most

Speaking of Pork.......

Most pictures are worth 1,000 words. Sarah Palin's are worth $10,000.

During an upcoming fundraising visit to Minnesota, fans are being asked to fork over a pretty penny to have a brief meeting with the ex-Alaska governor memorialized on film.

The April 7 visit includes an afternoon rally at the Minneapolis Convention Center and a $500-a-plate dinner to help raise cash for Rep. Michele Bachmann's reelection campaign. The evening's schedule includes a brief chance, for ten big ones, to have a picture taken with Palin.

Our country's economy must be in great shape if these pork eaters have the funds to pig out and take a photo with these bimbos.

It's nice to see that the nation's elite don't have to worry about problems like walking trails.

Suddenly paying $8.00 dollars to watch the midgets wrestle seems like a bargain and would probably be a better photo op then the above mentioned airheads.

Any chance that you could get Mr. Buehl to comment on the economic impact that that the Luce Line trail East of Winsted has. This is not a paved trail but seems to have the requirements of being user friendly to the majority of users.

Since it is a part of "our" trail that you have not had a change to explore, it would seem that the many miles you have put on other trails would give you a good perspective on the true value of spending vs. return on a paving project to draw in business from out of area users. Without being labeled as a "trailmonkey". ;)
