We lived next door to a drug dealer in Hutchinson for a couple of years. Lots of activity there - cars coming and going. We reported the activities to the Police Department. They arrested him after he sold some drugs to an undercover agent. No jail time, and he was back in business shortly thereafter. Lucky for us he moved. Sorry folks, this stuff happens in Hutchinson contrary to what our City Fathers will tell you!!

Sorry you ended up purchasing a house that was next door to drug dealers. However, I don't know anyone that has experienced what you did and I know alot of people that have moved out to a rural place and are doing great.

Over and over I heard the similar stories from many others.....
The day after I moved to Vermont my neighbors were in my backyard fishing in my pond. I introduced myself with a rude response from them. I let them fish and they quickly started strange behavior like shooting there chickens in front of me as I mowed my lawn etc. Since they were drug dealers as I found out later, they did not want me around. My point....many "locals" felt that my land is their land. But as soon as you step near their land they defend it with venom and shotguns!! I grew up in a small new england village not a "city folk". I respect others and to leave their property alone. Not the case for "locals" who despise "flatlanders" and "city folk". I never aimed to change anything in the area. I just wanted the peace and quiet that they want as well. Jealousy is often the case.
