I have some concerns with this story. We are the biggest City in our County. Why do we have the least amount of people on the Save a life program. Maybe the police dept needs a specific person going around and showing the people in need of this unit how it works and why they should have it. As far as I know and can see the McLeod county sheriff's dept deputies were very involved in this and were not mentioned in this article. Hopefully everybody learned from this and there can be more people on this program that need it soon.

I'm very sorry Steve "Woody" Quast lost his life; he rode his motorcycle for many years. He was a good and kind person. He will be missed by many.

It's the nature of people; if you are directly affected, it is a real problem, if not, it's no big deal. I can understand Mr. Arndt's argument, but think of the number of people who cannot find alternative parking, not to mention all of our holiday guests who would have to get up in the wee hours of the morning to find an open parking lot when it snows.

so jason I spoke with the ladies of s.a. they said you read about this online. I gather you are either a complete idiot or just stupid if you actually thought you were going to get away with stealing 213.91 in gas. that is what it comes to when totallying up. oh yeah you were so smart hu going at the time frames they were busy and unable to keep a good check, but this time you messed up! You were not expecting these ladies to be keep a better eye of their people gassing up. I see they say here you have no permament adress.... well some how I think for the next few weeks if months you will.... jail. I hope you get the book thrown at you! thief.

My condolences to the Quast family. Was he wearing a helmet? Or was this another motorcycle death that could have been prevented if there was a mandatory helmet law in this state?

dragon I am sure you have been to sa before.who ever is doing this knows when to hit this store. this driver probably parks where the truck can not be seen too good, hidden by other vehicals. Now I was there on monday and recall seeing this truck and it was fairly busy. at this time frame inside the store they are busy with doing things. they may of not been aware and there may of been someone new.

I'm wondering why the store employees haven't been able to get this trucks license plate number? I understand not being able to get it the first time, since they didn't know this person was going to leave without paying for their gas, but after the second and third time?

This is such good news even

This is such good news even though it may be a bit late for my family. My son started Tamiflu today as prescribed by his doctor for flu symptoms. Since they don't test for H1N1 unless you are hospitalized, we'll hope not to find out for certain if that is what he has. My hope is that with close monitoring we can avoid him being hospitalized, even though he is in the high risk category since he has asthma.

Thank you to everyone who offered words of support and understanding during this struggle to get him vaccinated. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers while he fights off this infection.

Justlisahere - I find it funny that in another post you complain of drivers not obeying traffic laws, but then you make this post sympathizing with a homeowner who obviously disobeyed height restrictions. I also don't understand how you can assume the neighbors are snobs for simply standing up for their rights. I believe most people would grow tired of a 4 year construction job next door that could negatively affect already decreasing home values.
