Hmmm, I have to agree with JJ and TMS. It just doesn't seem like "happy dancin'" should be a priority in our educational curriculum. Maybe our parents can promote this at home or after core teaching/learning hours? Am I missing something or should we be focusing more on the fundamentals? I've heard many teachers complain about a lack of class time availability in the past. Has this changed?

Yeah yeah, happiness and positive attitude are great things. My father taught me that and I appreciate him for that!

With a base salary of over $40,000 and an upcoming 6.49% increase you'd think Mr. Wendling would be teaching our kids something that would help them become productive adults in the future. Knowing how to do the "Happy Dance" will not help in their career path in any way, unless it keeps their spirits up when they're walking out the door after being refused employment!

Yes I agree. If one is a designated driver then it is a no brainer they should remain sober. It kind of defeats the purpose of not drinking and driving. My husband and I were dd for this year. our friends appreciated it deeply knowing they did not have to worry and when we came back to our friend's place and both were offered a drink, I let my husband have a glass of wine and I did the driving.

This is such good news even though it may be a bit late for my family. My son started Tamiflu today as prescribed by his doctor for flu symptoms. Since they don't test for H1N1 unless you are hospitalized, we'll hope not to find out for certain if that is what he has. My hope is that with close monitoring we can avoid him being hospitalized, even though he is in the high risk category since he has asthma.

Thank you to everyone who offered words of support and understanding during this struggle to get him vaccinated. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers while he fights off this infection.

I drove by it today and thought it looked pretty good as far as can collection trailers go. I'm not sure what your expectations are - chrome wheels maybe? I believe they are a non-profit organization that perhaps could use some voluntary assistance. If it bothers you that much maybe you could volunteer your time and/or money and spiff it up a little.

They sure picked an eyesore site for the can trailer. That must be to agaisnt city ordnances. It is ugly as my ex wife just sitting thier on main street. I aint throughing any cans in their because it is an eyesore. My cans are going in the garbage.

We know firsthand how awful this infection can be. Our son, at age 4 months, developed a hib infection in his ear, that quickly went into meningitis. He spent 10 days in the hospital (7 in ICU) and suffered a permanent hearing loss. We were just thankful he survived. This vaccine became available about three years after that happened. I hope they get more supplies of this vaccine soon, and that parents follow up and get their children vaccinated! I wouldn't want any family to go through what we did.
