The evening, for parents and extended family and professionals, will begin with a panel of several parents and an adult with Asperger’s, who will share information regarding food and diet and relaxation techniques which have made a difference in their children’s lives.

This will be their last regular meeting before the club's annual Spring Rail Fest event April 12 at the Mall. Several model railroads have been invited to display, while sellers of model railroad equipment and railroad books, videos and memorabilia will have about 30 flea market tables set up at the show.

3M Cares and Feeding Children International of Stewart are sponsoring a Kids Against Hunger food packing day, Thursday, March 27, at Peace Lutheran Church, 400 Franklin St. S.W., Hutchinson. The public is invited to help pack food packages from noon to 2 p.m., 2 to 4 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
Donations are welcome, and can be made by stopping by the food packaging site on March 27. All donations received are applied to the cost of food for hungry children worldwide.

Free early childhood developmental screenings will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Christ the King Church, 1040 South Grade Road S.W., Hutchinson.
Early childhood screening is performed by nurses, teachers and professionals in the school district. Screening helps parents identify if their child has any health problems, vision or hearing loss, and find help with development, speech or learning problems. Early childhood screening is mandatory before children start kindergarten.

A nine-hour Spanish workshop for prospective homebuyers will be offered over two days from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 15, at Meeker County Family Service Center, 114 N. Holcombe Ave. Suite 200, Litchfield.
The workshop, called Home Stretch, teaches the basics of home purchasing. It is taught by local lenders, Realtors and other housing professionals.
