A representative of the Legal Advocacy for Older Americans Project will meet with senior citizens at the following times and places:

• 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, Plaza 15 Senior Center, 1005 State Hwy. 15 S., Hutchinson

Attorneys and paralegals for the project can assist seniors with problems in Social Security, Medicare, Medical Assistance, food stamps and fuel assistance. In addition, the project handles problems with housing, consumer law and insurance to supplement Medicare. The services are provided without charge, however, donations can be accepted.

The Red Cross Disaster Action Team will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, June 9, at the Red Cross office, 902 State Highway 15 S., Hutchinson.
In addition to a business meeting, volunteer training in preparation for natural disasters or single family disaster assistance will be conducted.

Wrap up Water Carnival weekend with an evening of fun lawn games, root beer floats and the annual display of fireworks over the Crow River, all from the yard and parking lot of Shalom Baptist Church, 1215 Roberts Road S.W., Hutchinson. The event begins with free root beer floats served at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 15. The fireworks are at 10 p.m.

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum will celebrate its 50/100 year anniversary with a family day from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 22.
