Red Cross Blood drive in Hutchinson

The American Red Cross has scheduled the following blood drive in May:
• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Hutchinson Mall, 1060 State Highway 15 S., Hutchinson.
Call (800) 448-3543 to make an appointment or for more information.
Donors must be at least 17 years old and must weigh at least 110 pounds. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply. A blood donor card or drivers license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

The mission of the Foundation For Challenged Children is to provide special needs for challenged children that insurance and government programs do not cover, such as learning and developmental tools and equipment. The organization helps people younger than 18 who are physically or mentally challenged and require help or assistance in daily life to become their personal best.

American Red Cross and the community of Plato is planning a blood drive from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 10478 Bell Ave., Plato. For an appointment, call Ken or Myra at (320) 238-2370.
Healthy individuals who are at least age 17 and weigh at least 110 pounds may be able to donate blood. Donors are eligible to give blood every 56 days, or approximately six times a year.
