LETTER: Becky Felling would serve her district well

A competent manager, a team player, a fiscally responsible person, these all describe Becky Felling, candidate for Third District county commissioner in McLeod County. I have had the opportunity to work closely with Becky since 1995 on public health programs that are run jointly in McLeod, Meeker and Sibley Counties.

Impressive is her ability to bring people together to work on common goals by finding areas that they can agree on. She is a good listener and is someone who looks for solutions. She puts the interest of the public ahead of any personal interests. And she stands her ground when she believes that something is right. As the McLeod County public health director for 14 years, she knows the issues that McLeod County will be facing in the future.

Local government officials are the closest to the people they represent; some say it is where the rubber meets the road. Becky would represent the people of her district well.
