LETTER: LaVonne Hansen has shown she’s competent

I have worked with LaVonne Hansen for 10 years and would like to convey what an asset she would be as a member of the Hutchinson City Council. LaVonne is very intelligent, hardworking yet a practical individual. She has a wealth of experience in leading large organizations. LaVonne, with her diverse background and personal creativity, has been a catalyst of many advances in our organization.

Over the years, she has been asked to set direction for some of the largest and most complicated business problems in our organization. Her experiences have afforded her the ability to take overwhelming problems and break them down into logical pieces that are resolvable. Consistently, LaVonne has demonstrated the competence to bring together diverse groups, from different sites and cultures challenged with differing goals. She has excellent business judgment utilizing risks management and financial measures to establish strategic direction. LaVonne is known to carry the message and stand her ground, if necessary, to ensure the best decisions are made for the company as a whole, even if it is not the most popular.

I know she will bring this same dedication, resourcefulness and energy to the City Council.
