April 22, 2008 - 9:08am — Kay Johnson
Common Cup Ministry is distributing free food from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the McLeod County Fairgrounds, 840 Century Ave., Hutchinson. The program, sponsored by Common Cup Ministry and McLeod County Emergency Food Shelf, has been developed by Second Harvest Heartland in Minneapolis. The goal is to provide supplemental food and products to individuals and families experiencing a need.
There is no charge to participate. Registration is at the site. During registration, participants are asked to list the number of members in their household and their income bracket but verification of income is not conducted. Blessing Boxes are available for those who are homebound and unable to attend. Call Common Cup Ministry office at (320) 587-2213 for information and requests for these boxes. Distribution will take place in Hutchinson and Glencoe. Participants can attend both. Hutchinson dates are: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9. Both at the McLeod County Fairgrounds. Glencoe dates are: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, and noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Panther Field House.
