The McLeod County Board recognized Meeker and McLeod County Extension educator Nathan Winter at its Tuesday meeting (Nov. 17) for earning a national honor.
The National Association of County Agricultural Agents recently gave Winter its Achievement Award. The award recognizes professional excellence in extension agents across the U.S. with less than 10 years of service.
Prior to his 2005 appointment, Winter was a lab coordinator and field inspector with the Minnesota Crop Improvement Association in St. Paul. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in agricultural education and is close to finishing his master’s degree.
