Heartland Community Action Agency last week sent a survey to hundreds of area households to learn what they need.
Seven-hundred surveys were mailed to randomly selected households in Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker and Renville counties. Respondents are urged to fill out the surveys and return them by Nov. 30.
The community needs assessment survey is conducted every three years, to monitor changing needs in the communities Heartland serves. An accurate measurement of the public’s needs helps determine which programs are most necessary. The assessment tool also identifies unmet needs.
The survey includes questions about households’ needs for basic housing, health, employment, transportation, childcare, parenting, education, legal and financial help, and their community support system.
For more information about the survey, call Rhonda Otteson at Heartland Community Action Agency at (320) 235-0850.
