Hutchinson Technology appoints Connie Pautz to vice president of human resources

Hutchinson Technology Inc. said Thursday it has appointed Connie Pautz to vice president of human resources. In this position, Pautz will be responsible for strategy and delivery of all human resources activities as well as corporate communications.

Pautz joined Hutchinson Technology in 1984 and has held a variety of management positions, including staffing manager, compensation and benefits manager, human resources manager and communications manager. She was promoted to director of corporate communications in 2001. In May 2009, she took on an expanded role as director of human resources and communications.

"Connie's understanding of our culture and broad experience in human resources and communications make her well-suited to lead our human resources management efforts," said Hutchinson Technology's president and chief executive officer Wayne M. Fortun. "Attraction, retention and motivation of a high-quality workforce is a key priority as we work to achieve our strategies for long-term growth and profitability."

Pautz holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mankato State University.
