Ann Bancroft, Minnesota native and world-renowned Arctic explorer, educator, and speaker, will be the keynote presenter at Ridgewater College’s 23rd annual Women’s Event. The event is Thursday, April 3 at the Willmar Holiday Inn and Conference Center. Vendor exhibits begin at 3:00 p.m. with dinner, program and prizes from 5:15 to 7:45 p.m.
At the event, titled “Dare to Dream," Bancroft will offer her insights about overcoming obstacles, persevering, finding courage, and developing a healthy lifestyle which apply to the daily challenges we all face in our personal and professional careers. Bancroft is an expert in changing team dynamics, leadership, personal growth, perseverance, and adaptation to adverse and changing situations. Her accomplishments include being the first woman to travel across ice to the North and South Poles and ski across Greenland and leading the 1993 American Women’s Expedition skiing 600-plus miles to the South Pole.
