Horse management training series scheduled at Ridgewater College

Ridgewater College has scheduled its annual Horse Management Training Series for this winter, with the first class taking place in Willmar on Jan. 19.

Participants will learn first-rate horse care from regional experts Dr. Al Balay, Veterinary Technology instructor at Ridgewater College, and Rae Ann Bartz of Equine Connection.

Classes are as follows:

Driving Horses: Equipment and Training
Tuesdays, Jan. 19 and 26
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Alternative Therapies
Tuesday, Feb. 2
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Common Illnesses of the Horse
Tuesday, Feb. 9
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Treatments and Medications
Tuesday, Feb. 23
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Bits, Bridles, Headsets, and Teeth
Tuesday, March 2
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
