Police believe they’ve solved major burglary

» Read similar stories filed under:

Four people have been charged and two more face possible charges following an investigation into a burglary earlier this month at a Hutchinson home.

Hutchinson police received a report Nov. 2 of a burglary in the 800 block of Church Street in which items worth $6,365, mostly electronics, were taken.

Police interviewed several people during their investigation and found stolen items in searches of homes in Country Club Terrace mobile home park and at an apartment in the 1000 block of South Grade Road.

Those arrested and charged thus far include the following Hutchinson residents: Alexander T. Duenow, 20, Derek A. Mattson, 18, and Travis M. Stanton, 21, all charged by the McLeod County Attorney’s Office with felony second-degree burglary; and Stanton’s father, Christopher E. Stanton, 37, who was charged with receiving stolen property.

Dustin J. H. Andree, 20, of Hutchinson was arrested on Nov. 12, on a warrant for allegedly violating probation and faces a possible misdemeanor charge of possession of stolen property. An 18-year-old Brownton man, who hasn’t been arrested, faces a similar charge.

Another man, who lives in a South Grade Road apartment where a stolen flat screen television was recovered, was arrested, but later released.

I looked up the corrections record on Travis Stanton...WOW, a career criminal at age 21! Maybe he can get the help he needs this time around. Or maybe he's had too much stress in his childhood! Maybe.......

No Kidding! I looked it up too and thought WOW! I guess if there is another burglary in town, he's the first one the police should check out.

You all obviously have no idea what or who your talking about. Travis is a really sweet guy who I've known since we were kids. Didn't your mamas ever teach you to not judge a book by its cover? Well please don't judge Travis if you don't know him personally. We all have made mistakes in the past, would you like to be known for only the bad and not the good?

You're joking right? Take one look on the mncriminals.com website and see for yourself. He's been convicted 4 times since 2006. 3 times for a felony and 1 time for a gross misdemeanor. And now he's been caught again.

Dragonflylady, I had never heard of this mncriminals.com Web site before so I just checked it out. After comparing it to Minnesota's public access site for information on court cases, I wouldn't recommend it.

Mncriminals.com doesn't seem to pull up records that are as complete as the state's site — http://pa.courts.state.mn.us — and the public site also lets you look up civil cases and judgments.

Based on my brief comparison between the two, the state's site seems more thorough.

There is actually evidence to prove he is not guilty, so when that article comes out dragonflylady, I think you'll owe him a public apology.

Let's just say his record speaks for itself. As for "judging a book by its cover", I hope his mug shot isn't on it! It's just too bad he didn't learn from his "past mistakes"...maybe he just needs more time to come to his senses, along with some special guidance.

Jorge, thanks for letting me know that. I didn't know about the State Site - it is a lot more complete.
