Police break up underage drinking party

Maybe the person who called the Police on you knew that there were under-age drinkers in your apartment. BTW - did the person who supplied the alcohol get ticketed?

The police did the right thing. There must have been some kind of disturbance, or the police would not have been called in the first place. Those of you that were underage were breaking the law. Instead of whining about the police coming before 10:30 pm, and how unfair everything is, do the adult thing...admit that you messed up, accept the punishment, and get on with your life. Geesh! Breaking the law, plus getting caught equals CONSEQUENCES!

There was no disturbance, it was a before 10 pm on a Friday night and the music was quiet and I think that there was just some jerk looking to get us into trouble for their own pleasure. I'm fine with dealing with the consequences, I understand that it was breaking the law. I just think it's stupid when kids who drink safely in their own place who weren't disturbing anybody are getting busted. There are plenty of teens who drink and drive and are loud and rude and I know a lot of them don't get caught. Plus there are other crimes out there too. I think the police shouldn't waste their time busting small parties like this. It's just ridiculous what the cops will do out of boredom. I'm from a small town and I know that's exactly what they do.

Well....you certainly told us, didn't you? It wouldn't matter if it was before 10pm or you were not making any noise. Obviously you were making some kind of disturbance, otherwise people would not have called the police. And trying to justify yourself on this forum isn't working. There is no justification for breaking the law. And whether you realize it or not, you were harming yourselves. Sounds like your group still needs a lot more adult supervision, but then again, that may be your problem..not ENOUGH adult supervision.

Get over it, you got busted and that is that. Underage drinking is a crime and it caught up to you. I am sure this is not the first time you and your friends got together to drink and I am sure it will not be the last time. So stop whining and act like the so called adult you say you are. You probably where to loud and that is why the cops where called. You must relieve this is a town of shift workers so you probably where bothering someone. Hey maybe next time invite all the neighbors and then no one will call on you(lol). You seem very bitter about this still.

in regaurds to the airforce comment, if every under 21 is an alchoholic that drinks then i guess half of american teenagers are alchoholics?

im sorry if you think we are whining, we aren't were just ammused by you people. im not bitter, im ammused that you all have to seem to rag on our issue. dont you have issues of your own?

get out in the world and realize teenagers do these things, your own kids are probably doing these things.

yes we drink but hey guess what we arent the only people under 21 drinking. in case you haven't noticed either they are also looking at lowering the drinking age.

I think some of you guys need to get a life if all you have to do is criticize when people make a mistake. I won't name any names, but I'm pretty sure you know who you are.

Also, I would appreciate if the 30 year olds don't call teenagers dumb. We have accepted the consequences, fully. I understand that the cops are doing their job. Jesus. I don't know how many times that point needs to be made. And don't say we keep on fighting this battle, because you sure have put your 2 cents in plenty of times.

And the cops can come over to my apartment anytime gladly, maybe we'll sit down and have a cup of coffee. I would love it.

I will admit that I'm immature at times, but how many mature 18 year olds are there really? When the cops were here, we accepted the fact right away. No one even fought them at all. We were talking to the cops and were being respectful and we fully understood they were just doing their jobs.

my roommate and i sat there and talked with the cops, asked them how their nights were going. I kept apologizing and eventually said, you know what? no i am not because you are doing your job and thats what you are paid to do. we continued to conversate with them. every time my phone went off i asked them if i could look at it. and i did as i was told when they were there. i wasn't a brat or immature as you all claim.

i was an adult about it.

he asked if i had been drinking, i said yes. he asked to come in or something, i let him. he asked if there was any more booze, i let him willingly look in my freezer and fridge.

if you call those three cops and ask them how we acted they would say very adult like. I remember the names of two of them if you would like me to supply the names so you can do this.

It would make my day if you would.

Nobody had commented on the subject from Sept 22 until Oct 1. I thought the thread was done until jessianne started whining about the unfairness of the situation. It is my business. It's the community's business. I expect the police to catch people breaking the law and that's exactly what they did.

If jessianne was truely mature and adult-like as she claims she is, this thread would have been done back in September.

I have to agree that the thread looked like it was dead back in September, but then almost 2 weeks later jessianne commented on it. The only way people are going to stop commenting on it, jessianne, is if you stop commenting or if the Hutch Leader gets tired of it and stops allowing posts. Lots of wasted energy regarding this issue. The crime was committed, the police took care of it, and I'm sure that those people that were ticketed will do what the consequences require.

I hear a KnockOut coming for this thread. 1,2,3......
