A 3-year-old Hutchinson girl who walked out the front door of her grandparents’ apartment around midnight was found early this morning (Wednesday, May 28.)
Hutchinson police said the girl, Bailey Delis, wandered away from the home in her pajamas in the 800 block of School Road Northwest. A McLeod County sheriff's deputy and a resident spotted the girl between two homes on Colorado Court at 7:01 a.m.
"We don't know exactly where she spent the night," Police Chief Dan Hatten said. "But she is perfectly fine."
Hutchinson ambulance took the girl to Hutchinson Community Hospital to be sure her body temperature hadn't dropped. She was accompanied by her parents, Ryan and Sheeri Delis.
Approximately 75 to 80 firefighters and a dozen law enforcements officers combed a two-square-mile area in northwest Hutchinson in their search for the girl. She was staying with her grandparents while her family was in the process of a move, Hatten said.
Agencies assisting the police department at the scene included the sheriff's office, Minnesota State Patrol, Hutchinson Fire Department, Glencoe Fire Department, Stewart Fire Department, Brownton Fire Department, and Silver Lake Fire Department.

We should all take a minute to hug our children. I can't imagine the worry her parents and grandparents had during the search.
