West Elementary first-graders took part Thursday (Nov. 12) in an attempt to break a world record.
They joined almost 1,500 schools across the globe partaking in a sport stacking challenge. The goal was to have 250,000 kids take the challenge worldwide.
Sport stacking involves stacking specially designed plastic cups in different configurations while racing the clock. West Elementary physical education teacher Lana Lenz said the activity is excellent for developing hand-eye coordination, concentration and speed.
