Wednesday, July 22 will mark the first ever “Walk-In Wednesday” at Ridgewater College's Willmar campus. The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Conference Center and is aimed at individuals who are still considering starting college this fall but have not yet taken the next step.
Those in attendance will be guided through the admissions process, applying for financial aid, and can schedule appointments with academic advisors or assessment testing on the spot.
“It is a great opportunity for individuals who understand the tremendous value a college education provides, but may be are intimidated, or overwhelmed by the process, or just aren’t sure what they want to do,” said Sam Bowen, Ridgewater director of communication and marketing. “It’s a great time to get pursue a degree or diploma, and Ridgewater has a lot to offer. We put this event together in an effort to help get people started down the right path.”
There are still seats available in many programs. All individuals considering college should attend. As a special incentive, Ridgewater will issue certificates good toward $20 at the campus bookstore for anyone who completes an application onsite during the event.
