Lester Prairie man found dead in Collinwood Township

A 56-year-old Waste Management employee was found unresponsive next to a construction dumpster in a Collinwood Township driveway Wednesday, July 1.

David H. Maas, 56, of rural Lester Prairie was pronounced dead on the scene. A report from the Meeker County Sheriff's Office said the incident did not look suspicious.

It appeared that the incident occurred while Maas was loading materials into a roll-off container. Sheriff Jeff Norlin said that it did not appear to involve trauma, but a final cause of death has not yet been determined.
