While Winsted didn't field a full roster Wednesday, Hutchinson was nearly at full strength again, taking advantage in a 7-1 win. Winsted placed fourth at the Class C State Baseball Tournament last summer.
Hutchinson took a 3-0 lead in the first inning on RBI at-bats from Brian Meuleners, Evan Kohli and Luke Klitzke after Brooks Albrecht started the rally with a triple.
Winsted scored a run in the fourth before Hutchinson put away the game with four runs in the middle innings, including a two-run bomb off the scoreboard from Luke Klitzke. It was the seventh home run of the season for the North Star League MVP candidate leader.
Kohli had three hits in the game, while Josh Wendland also had an RBI-single while playing third base.
Corey Trick pitched five innings for his fifth win before handing the ball to Kyle Messner for the final four innings.
Trick, Klitzke, Juergensen and Tim Thode will participate in the North Star League All-Star Game at 4 p.m. Sunday in Maple Plain.
