Scorsese and De Niro haven't worked together
since 1995's 'Casino'Variety [1] reports director Martin Scorsese and star Robert De Niro are reuniting for their first film project together in 13 years.
Scorsese will direct a big-screen adaptation of the book, "I Hear You Paint Houses," a biography of the late hit man Frank "the Irishman" Sheeran, who reportedly killed 25 people.
On his deathbed, Sheeran reportedly confessed to killing and dismembering the Teamsters' honcho Jimmy Hoffa. Hoffa disappeared on July 30, 1975, and has long been presumed dead.
Variety notes the title of the film and book refer "to mob slang for contract killings, and the resulting blood splatter on walls and floors."
De Niro, as you might have guessed, will play Sheeran. There's no word on whether Martha Stewart will have a cameo.
