Prior Lake quarterback T.J. Larson brought his team back from a 13-0 deficit, but trailing 19-18 in the fourth quarter, he made two critical mistakes, throwing interceptions on potential scoring drives as Hutchinson held on for the win - the third straight for the Tigers (4-2).

The final pick of the game came on a first-and-10 from the Tigers 41 with 1:23 left in the game. Brad Muckenhirn stepped in front of the pass, sealing the Missota Conference win and sole possession of second place behind Farmington.

Jaedon Scott rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers offensive attack.

The junior back, who has 10 scores and more than 830 yards on the ground, gave Hutchinson a 13-0 with two runs of 16 and 7 yards. Prior Lake battled back with a rushing and passing touchdown, but both extra points were blocked.

Hutchinson gave up another passing score late in the third quarter to fall behind 18-13. Hutchinson retook the lead on a long drive which included a fourth-down run by Scott. The junior back scored the eventual winning points on a three-yard run.

The Tigers are home against Shakopee and Red Wing the final two weeks. If Hutchinson wins out and finishes 6-2, the Tigers at worst would be the No. 2 seed in Section 2AAAA.

Look for more on the game in Tuesday's print edition. There will also be an area update in the morning in my blog, which includes a little more in-depth on New Ulm Cathedral's 28-8 win over McLeod West.

The Falcons had two players taken off the field by ambulance as well as losing quarterback Spencer Glaeser to a head injury - all in the first half.
