Jennifer Magallon graduated from the Minnesota School of Business’ massage therapy program just two years ago, but she puts continuing education high on her list of priorities.
Magallon is an independent massage therapist working out of a room in the basement of Julie Elder’s Urban Hair Salon, 18 Main St. S. There she offers hot stone massage, body wraps, prenatal massage and Swedish deep tissue massage.
She uses Biotone Spa massage and body wrap products in her practice and offers 12 body wrap aromas. Magallon also uses Raindrop Therapy oil products and techniques, and Sabai Spa Thai herbal balls.
“I’m trying to do something different that no one else does,” she said. To keep up on the latest techniques, Magallon plans to travel next month to San Diego for a two-day course in massage that allows her to kept her accreditation with her insurance provider.
Magallon, a new mother who also works at Minnesota Rubber in Litchfield, is available by appointment only Monday, Tuesday and Friday after 9 a.m., and Wednesday and Thursday until 1 p.m. For an appointment, call (320) 221-2078.
