Sarah Popp recently received loan assistance from the Southwest Initiative Foundation’s Microenterprise Loan Program for the start-up of CORE Exercise Studio, a group aerobics fitness business at 101 Main St. S, in downtown Hutchinson.
Regular classes started Monday, Dec. 1, and a grand opening is slated for January.
Popp has taught aerobics classes for several years, most recently through Hutchinson’s Parks and Recreation program. Many participants wanted classes continued beyond that timeframe and a variety of class times and styles, she said. In addition, area businesses requested on-site classes for their employees, all of which have been added to her class schedule.
CORE Exercise Studio will be a lifestyle business for Popp, allowing her to turn a longtime hobby into a business while she continues to be employed as an Internet Marketing Strategist for Vivid Image in Hutchinson.
