Hey sports section fans~
I just wanted to let you know of the plans for the summer. Besides the usual amateur, Legion and VFW baseball, I am also looking at covering other sports as well as writing those features people seem to love.
I have five features scheduled for the next six issues, which will include the popular race car drivers features starting July 12 and running every Thursday for four weeks. I'm going to head over to KRA Speedway in Willmar July 5 and will try to make it down to Arlington Raceway July 21.
I will also have a feature on Evan Kohli and the River Bats July 3 and a feature on Willmar Mustangs players Josh Goebel and Gene Doherty July 10.
If you have events or teams that you think should be recognized, let me know. Summer time is wide open for me, so I can get out and cover a little more than usually.
Feel free to call me at 320-234-4152 or sports@hutchinsonleader.com.
