"Blade Runner: The Final Cut" is due for a limited theatrical release in October, followed by a December DVD release. According to Reuters, Warner Bros. will show "Blade Runner: The Final Cut" in Los Angeles and New York, beginning Oct. 5. The ultimate collection DVD [1] will hit stores Dec. 18. I admit, I'm a bit disappointed. In 1992, the so-called director's cut of "Blade Runner" played in a dozen countries, and even us lowly Minnesotans got to see it. I'll never forget experiencing "Blade Runner" on the big screen at the Uptown Theater. Maybe we'll luck out and Warner Bros. will let some of the other indie theaters screen it, too.
