Next time you’re looking for a place to visit: think hometown, think Hutchinson.

When it comes to travel destinations, three local shops — Clay Coyote Gallery, Main Street Cotton Shop and the Village Shop — are featured in the new travel book, “Treasures of Minnesota,” published by Morgan and Chase, Medford, Ore.

The colorful and interesting text details Minnesota treasures from arts and crafts to wineries and breweries.

In case you didn’t know … Clay Coyote Gallery features the functional pottery of Tom Wirt and Betsy Price plus one-of-a-kind art and crafts from more than 150 North American artists.

The Cotton Shop, owned by Jean Lepper, is a mecca for quilters and specializes in Thimbleberries products.

The Village Shop is decked floor to ceiling with home décor and gift items personally selected by owner Joanne Willmert.

Travel author William Faubion researched and selected the attractions featured in “Treasures of Minnesota.”
