Nominees for the 2008 Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, were announced this morning.

The winners of this year's Razzies, an award created 28 years ago to “honor” the worst achievements in film, will be announced Feb. 23, one day before the Oscars.

This year saw the creation of a special Razzie category, “Worst Excuse for a Horror Movie.” The nominees are *clears throat and tears open envelope*

• “Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem”
• “Captivity”
• “Hannibal Rising”
• “Hostel: Part II”
• “I Know Who Killed Me"”

“I Know Who Killed Me,” starring Lindsay Lohan, is also up for Worst Picture and Worst Remake or Ripoff. Lohan is also in the running for Worst Actress, and both halves of Worst Screen Couple.

“I Know Who Killed Me” seems to have a perverse Midas effect, turning everyone who's touched it into a Golden Raspberry nominee. Lohan co-star Julia Ormond is up for Worst Supporting Actor, Chris Sivertson is up for Worst Director, and writer Jeffrey Hammond is up for for Worst Screenplay.

Gee. Now I kind of wish I'd seen it!
