Bovine TB informational meetings set for March 13 and 14

Livestock producers interested in the anticipated downgrade of the state’s bovine tuberculosis status are invited to three informational meetings in southern Minnesota on March 13 and 14.

The Minnesota Board of Animal Health, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, United States Department of Agriculture and University of Minnesota Extension Service will present information about the state’s TB status downgrade, interstate movement requirements, the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance, split state status and wildlife.

Area livestock producers and other interested parties are encouraged to attend free of charge at one of the following locations:
< 1 p.m. March 13 at the Carver County Public Works Building, 11360 U.S. Highway 212, Cologne.
< 7 p.m. March 13 at the Lanesboro Sales Commission, 402 Coffee Street, Lanesboro.
< 10 a.m. March 14 at the Livestock Auction Market, State Highway 30 East, Pipestone.
