The McLeod Interagency Early Intervention Committee, Family Support Committee and Arc Central Minnesota are sponsoring an autism panel discussion and break-out sessions from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Peace Lutheran Church, 400 Franklin St. S.W., Hutchinson.
The evening, for parents and extended family and professionals, will begin with a panel of several parents and an adult with Asperger’s, who will share information regarding food and diet and relaxation techniques which have made a difference in their children’s lives.
Tammy Stahl and Karin Marquardt, autism consultants from Southwest-West Central Co-op, will be on hand to discuss issues surrounding young children with autism who have significant cognitive challenges. After the panel, those attending will be able to choose a break-out session to receive more specific information from the speakers.
The meeting is free and refreshments will be served. For more information, call Donna Cooper, Hutchinson Special Education, at (320) 234-2619.
