The area chapter of EAA is hosting Young Eagles Day, Saturday, May 10, at the Hutchinson Municipal Airport.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., children ages 8-17 have the opportunity to go on a free airplane ride thanks to the volunteers of EAA members. A parent or guardian must be present.
Since 1992, more than 1.25 million Young Eagles have flown with EAA volunteers. Most Young Eagle flights last between 15 and 20 minutes. Once the plane has landed, the pilot will be happy to answer any questions about flying or the aircraft.
Young Eagles will receive a certificate which is signed by their pilot and the EAA Chairman Harrison Ford.
